RECOMMENDED EXERCISES FOR GOOD HEALTH

There are various exercises which are recommended for good health. This means that one has to understand which exercises are required for him or her to be physically fit hence a boost of his health. There are various exercises that one has to combine for good results. Doing the same exercise each other day will only make a particular part of your body fit and will not give general physical fitness to the whole body.

The various exercises have been categorized into four. If one makes it a point of doing exercises from these four categories equally with no discrimination then the person’s physical fitness is improved tremendously.

The first categories of exercises include thirty minutes exercises that make one breathe harder on most or all days of the week. One doesn’t have to be active for thirty minutes all at once. You can divide the thirty minutes into time slots that you can manage at a time. Example, ten minutes of endurance at a time is okay but you have to ensure that the ten minute’s sessions add up to a total of thirty minutes each day. Examples of these exercises include running and any exercise that will make you breathe harder.

The second categories of exercises for good health include muscle-strengthening activities. Muscle-strengthening activities help increase one’s muscle in his or her body. The more muscles one has the more calories one is able to burn. Compared to fat cells, muscle cells are active and they are constantly repairing and working. When muscles are not used they waste away at any age and therefore it’s advisable that one involves himself or herself in muscle-strengthening activities as muscles increase one’s metabolism, allowing him or her to burn more calories during the day when one is at rest.

The fourth category of exercises for good health include exercises that help one maintain his or her balance. This can be achieved by one walking heel-to-toe every now and then. When one walks this way, the toes of the foot in back should touch the heel of the foot in front. Balance exercises help one prevent falls and avoid disability that may result from falling.

The fifth categories of exercises include exercises that stretch your various parts of the body. Stretching help one keep flexibility which helps one to move more freely. It’s advisable for one to stretch when one’s muscles have warmed up. They should be done after strength exercises or endurance, for example, if you are doing only stretching exercises on a particular day do a little bit of easy walking and arm-pumping first, stretching your muscles before they are warmed up result in injury.

For good health, it is advisable that one balances in doing all these activities that is, not concentrating in one category of activities but doing all the activities equally. That is if one does muscle-strengthening activities today then one can do another category of activities the following day.
